Student work

This page consists of the paintings made during my three years at Leeds college of art, these paintings can be divided into several series.

First of all the Questionables, a group of portraits featuring CEOs of several fortune 500 companies in several areas of business ranging from defence, to banking, to soft drinks. The aim was to place a spotlight on and encourage a dialogue surrounding people who possess both power and anonymity.

The final series of paintings made during my degree is titled Men at Arms, this series of was a result of looking further into CEOs of the defence industry. The paintings are a surreal combination of traditional military paintings from the western world and arbitrary press shots of the key players of the defence industry.
